Youth Saltwater Fishing Camp in Islamorada, Florida


Clearwater Adventures was established to bring the world of the Florida Keys to you. Headquartered in Islamorada, Clearwater Adventures has established a schedule of summer camps for the youth fishing enthusiasts of the United States. these camps are the cornerstone of what Clearwater Adventures offers the fishing public.

The small number of campers, 5, ensures maximum personal instruction which has a lot to do with the success of the camp.The camp's curriculum has been designed to be unique and innovative while maximizing safety, fun and learning.

Camp Session Options:

Session I - July 3 - 9
Session II - July 10 - 16
Session III - July 17 - 23
Session IV - July 24 - 30
Session V - July 31 - August 6

Camp Activities

Each camper will enjoy the following activities during their one week camp session:

• Two (2) days offshore fishing with Captin Brian Cone aboard his boat the “Contagious”.
Tuna and Mahi Mahi are the targeted species.
• One (1) full day of back country fishing with Captain Jeremy Chavez. The targeted species are tarpon, snook plus others.
• Shark fishing excursion with Captain T. J. Zinkand. This adventure will be a camper favorite. Big sharks on light tackle, a sure fire winner.
• Private snorkeling trips with local snorkeling guide, Samantha Zeheb. Will be very special outings.
• Kayak fishing among the Mangrove Islands of Florida Bay.
• Classes on throwing a large castnet, live baits, lures, special riggings for offshore and inshore fishing, plus other subjects. Will be taught by Dan Naumoff, first mate on the “Contagious”.
• A special class that will teach the campers how to keep an outdoor journal.

Additional Camp Details:

Clearwater Adventures provides all lodging and meals. The meals will include many local seafood dishes that will be prepared with fish that the campers catch. The camp also provides transportation to and from the airport (Ft. Lauderdale, Miami & Key West) and the packing of fish for the trip home.
