5-Day Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunt in Kansas

In stock

Quick Overview

We have a great mix of agriculture, heavy timber and CRP (which Joe Cunningham from “Best of the West” called the “greatest whitetail habitat I have ever seen”). We have over 50 acres of professionally managed food plots, protein feeders running year round and an abundance of soybeans and corn that help put heavy-racked horns on our bucks. All our hunting is done from blinds or tree stands.

Whitetail Deer Hunts in Kansas

We hunt in Southeast Kansas -- arguably one of the best areas in the world to hunt trophy white-tailed deer. Year after year we continue to put bucks in the record books:

  • 2010 -- 216″ monster.
  • 2011 -- Typical 190″ mainframe 10-point.
  • 2012 -- 185", 192" and a 214″ brute.
  • 2013 -- 180″, 185″, 188" and a record 222" non-typical beast.

That is putting bone in the dirt. Our hunters average in the 150′s on bucks taken over the last five years with 60-70% on-shot opportunity. We hunt on over 15,000 acres in four different counties surrounding the town of Garnett in unit #11. The closest airport is Kansas City, Mo (1:20).

We do not charge trophy fees to our customers no matter how big the kill.

There is no preferential treatment; every hunter's name goes into the hat to draw stands which our clients really appreciate. We trophy manage our herd so we do have a 140″ minimum (if you shoot a deer under 140″ there is a $500 penalty). Let them get old in our country and they will get big!

If you draw blood and wound a trophy, that animal is considered yours. You can only hunt that trophy animal the rest of your hunt.

Our ranch house sleeps 10 comfortably (No bunk beds). Meals, lodging and semi-guided hunts are all included in this package.

Our clients have been 100% on drawing tags in unit #11 where we hunt the last five years. If you don’t draw your tag I will refund your deposit, guaranteed! You will apply for your tag anytime between April 1-25 each year. You will be notified that you received your tag by June 20th. You will have until July 1st to have your hunt paid in full unless other arrangements have been made. If the hunt needs to be cancelled for any reason between July 1st and the start of your hunt, your hunt will be honored for the following year.

Kansas Rifle Season (Early December)

These hunts are five days and usually have some post-rut activity going on. Hunters will hunt out of enclosed blinds, ladder stands or ground blinds. Typically the weather is 30-50 degrees and every hunter should be prepared to sit in a ladder stand depending on which one you draw. We urge hunters to sit all day but certainly not mandatory. You will hunt over feeders, food plots or CRP. Average shot is 100-200 yards but 300-500 is possible in some locations. We have killed all three 200″+ monsters during this season.
