Guiding
There are few outdoor experiences that are as unique and challenging as hunting wild Rio Grande turkeys in the Hill Country of Texas. Listening to your guide chatter back and forth with a big Rio is an experience that is sure to send chills down your spine.
Most of these hunts take place from a layout or pop-up blind. While in the blind make sure that you are completely concealed and that you sit as still as possible. Turkeys are deceptively smart and are often spooked at the slightest motion or detection. If you and your guide decide to make a move on a bird make sure that you are completely out of its line of vision. Just remember, if you can see a turkey's head and you make a move there is good chance it will peg you and dart!
