Quail Hunting in Georgia

The Morrison Pines Plantation in Moultrie, Georgia, is a first-class quail hunting operation with seasoned and familiar personnel and hunting lands.

Quail hunting is the principal focus at this plantation, with emphasis on quality dog handling and an overall incomparable experience. The dining will also be southern.

At Morrison Pines Plantation, you will hunt approximately 4,000 acres of the best quail habitat in South Georgia. You will also hunt both native and stocked birds. This outfitter follows an early release program in September to establish coveys for the entire season. Field transportation will be provided by truck or hunting buggies pulled by trucks. They also have a mule wagon and horses upon request prior to your arrival.

This outfitter can make arrangements to have you picked up from Tallahassee, Albany, or Valdosta airports. The Moultrie airport is only 10 minutes away and they can also handle most private planes.

Any gauge shotgun is fine, however, 20- and 28- gauge are the most popular. Only two shells at a time are allowed in any gun. Snake chaps and vest will be furnished by the lodge. Everyone is required to view a short safety film and sign a release form prior to hunting. There are no alcoholic beverages allowed during the day or on any hunt.

Sample Itinerary
