Itinerary
Hunters should plan to arrive the afternoon before for the evening meal. First hunt will be the morning hunt on the following day. Departure will be after the last day hunt. Hunters are in the woods well before dawn to listen for the first gobble and are usually back by noon. Time may vary due to weather conditions or due to the birds. If a bird is taken on the morning hunt, you may fish in one of our farm ponds located on the plantation. If you plan to hunt the next day, late that afternoon we will roost a bird for our next morning hunt.
Guiding
Guides on this plantation work diligently to put you in a good area to spot birds coming off the roost. You may choose to do all the calling yourself or have your guide call the birds right into your lap. This area of longleaf pine uplands is a great place to hunt eastern gobblers for many reasons. The landscape provides ample natural cover to conceal yourself while on this hunt. The management that this plantation undergoes is second-to-none. The effort for harvesting your trophy bird was put in long before you ever show up for your hunt.
